Welcome to the final day of our three-day live training on mastering content automation with RSS Masher! Today, we're diving into some advanced features that will supercharge your content creation and distribution workflows. Get ready to explore innovative tools and strategies that make automation a breeze!
As we kick off Day 3, I want to reflect on the "aha" moments we've experienced in this series. If you've had any lightbulb moments, give me a shout-out! We have a lot to cover today, including local pages, sitemap rewriting, the Feedly to Google Sheets method, and building YouTube video blogs. Let's get started!
Local pages are a fantastic feature that utilizes iframe embeds to blend your content with authority links. This adds credibility and boosts your SEO. We’ve conducted extensive training on this, including a geek-out Friday specifically focused on bulk posting with local pages.
To create a local page, you’ll start by entering a name and description. I recommend using AI tools like Grock to create a spun description that is unique to your content. This adds a layer of originality and freshness. You’ll also need to choose a niche and category, as well as add tags to help organize your content.
Each local page can include multiple external links in a table format, allowing your site to appear alongside high-authority sites like The New York Times or Wall Street Journal. This not only enhances visitor perception but also lends authority to your site from an SEO perspective.
To create your local page:
For example, I created a local page on eSports gaming with trusted sites. To find expert links, I used AI tools to generate a CSV of authority sites in the gaming niche, which I imported into RSS Masher.
When building local pages, consider these best practices:
By embedding your local page in Google Sites or other high-authority domains, you can significantly increase your site's visibility and authority.
Next up is sitemap rewriting, one of our newest features. This allows you to repurpose old WordPress content using sitemaps, refreshed by AI Masher, and republished via RSS Masher. This process can help improve your site's SEO by keeping content fresh and relevant.
To create a sitemap mash, follow these steps:
This allows you to keep your content updated and relevant while improving your site's SEO performance.
Now, let's talk about the Feedly to Google Sheets method. This allows you to curate content from Feedly and seamlessly import it into Google Sheets for further manipulation or publication via RSS Masher.
To set this up, you’ll need:
Once you have this set up, you can easily pull new articles from Feedly, and with a few clicks, you’ll have them ready for publication!
Lastly, we’ll cover how to turn YouTube videos into blog posts. This is a great way to repurpose video content and reach a broader audience. By embedding videos in your blog, you can provide value to your readers while driving traffic to your YouTube channel.
To create a video blog post:
This method not only increases engagement but also helps in building backlinks to your YouTube content.
